{"id":5661,"date":"2013-02-12T14:02:45","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T14:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glocalthinking.com\/3-key-hr-trends-for-2013\/"},"modified":"2021-08-31T10:40:52","modified_gmt":"2021-08-31T10:40:52","slug":"3-key-hr-trends-for-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glocalthinking.com\/en\/3-key-hr-trends-for-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Key HR Trends For 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Big Data, Global Talent, Cloud, Gamification, Social Recruiting, BYOD\u2026 different and complex concepts, but actually they are bringing into play three key trends that shape the future of HCM: HR departments being part of the business, global talent management and technology integration.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>1. A new HR organization:<\/strong><\/span> Reading <a href=\"http:\/\/marketing.bersin.com\/2013-predictions.html\" rel=\" noopener\">Bersin\u2019s HR predictions<\/a>, HR departments have gone through several stages, from being a \u2018personnel department&#8217; &nbsp;to a strategic HR and Integrated Talent management model, up until now, where we are talking about a \u2018Businees-Driven HR\u2019. The time has come when integrating HR strategies with the business, differentiating &amp; segmenting talent, concentrating in a globalized workforce and HR &nbsp;is a must. &nbsp;In the words of Josh Bersin &#8220;Companies should redesign their HR departments to become more oriented to data analysis, be more proactive, aligned with the business and strategic in nature (p.17, Predictions for 2013).&#8221; Make proper decisions on talent management and leadership can significantly benefit business results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2. Global Leadership and Talent:<\/strong><\/span> Talent is everywhere, and therefore recruitment processes must be done at a global scale. Gradually we will see how analytics and Big Data become more and more important. Also, this year we will hear much more about social recruiting: the vast majority of companies are recruiting through social networks, LinkedIn being the most widely used (80% of companies &#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.equest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/brochure-equest-mix-lores.pdf\">source: E-Quest<\/a>-);&nbsp;but also Twitter, Google+ and Facebook are sources used to find applicants. Some companies are even using gamification strategies for their selection processes. &nbsp;As a result of all this we will continue to see a great approach towards <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.meta4.com\/?p=882\">employer branding<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>3. Towards full technology integration:<\/strong><\/span> As Peter Hinssen, CEO of Across Technology, explained on his presentation at the HR Tech Conference, we are moving from a world where technology was just emerging &nbsp;to a world &nbsp;in which technology is completely integrated in the day to day activities; and in this sense, cloud and mobility are normal consequences of this natural integration: easy and immediate access to information from anywhere. HR Systems also evolve in the same direction, towards <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meta4.com\/services\/321\/saas-integration.html\">integrated global technologies<\/a>: companies need to flee <strong>from information silos to unified Core HR systems<\/strong>. Solutions must centralize the HR management throughout the life cycle of employees and coordinate global and local strategies and policies.<\/p>\n<p><!--\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static.hsstatic.net\/BlogImporterAssetsUI\/ex\/missing-image.png\" data-originalsrc=\"http:\/\/www.meta4.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/featured1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1707 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/static.hsstatic.net\/BlogImporterAssetsUI\/ex\/missing-image.png\" alt=\"featured1\" width=\"1024\" height=\"398\" data-originalsrc=\"http:\/\/www.meta4.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/featured1-1024x398.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global HR;
