For some of these projects, the contributions being sought were straight-forward and to the point.&nbsp;But others tended to take on a more thought-provoking approach. The most recent example of this came in the form of a web project I was recently asked to participate in where organizers asked people from different fields and life experiences to give their answer to this question: what is the meaning of life?&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"article-hed\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2015\/08\/the-emotions-that-make-us-more-creative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Emotions That Make Us More Creative<\/a>, by&nbsp;Scott Barry Kaufman in HBR.com<\/h3>\n<p>Artists and scientists throughout history have remarked on the bliss that accompanies a sudden creative insight. Einstein described his realization of the general theory of relativity as the happiest moment of his life. More poetically, Virginia Woolf once observed, \u201cOdd how the creative power brings the whole universe at once to order.\u201d&nbsp;But what about <em>before <\/em>such moments of creative insight? What emotions actually fuel creativity?&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.demo.bersin.com\/blog\/post\/2015\/04\/The-Changing-Role-of-the-CHRO.aspx\">The Changing Role of the CHRO<\/a>, by&nbsp;Karen O&#8217;Leonard in Bersin by Deloitte<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Bold, Business-savvy CHRO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lisa provided data showing that turnover among CHROs in F100 companies is high: 39% over the past two years, in fact. Many of these roles have been filled with leaders from outside of HR \u2013 executives from marketing, finance, operations, or lines of business.&nbsp; The turnover isn&#8217;t that surprising, given that only 5 percent of respondents in our <a href=\"http:\/\/dupress.com\/articles\/reinventing-hr-human-resources-human-capital-trends-2015\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">global survey<\/a> rated their organization\u2019s HR performance as excellent (see Figure 1.)&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"article-headline ng-binding ng-scope\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/lizryan\/2015\/08\/13\/is-this-the-end-of-employment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Is This The End Of Employment?<\/a> by Liz Ryan in Forbes<\/h3>\n<p>Our client Scott got a great job offer and he was ready to accept it, but then at the last minute he wavered. He called us to ask for our advice.&nbsp;\u201cDo you think I should take this offer?\u201d he asked. \u201cI was all ready to sign the offer letter and then I felt a twitch.
